Curently Road Design Engineer at Lancaster County

 

 

For 26 years I have been the Road Design Engineer. During that time I have become very knowledgable of County Road standards and policies. In addition, many beneficial working relationships have been developed with many other County agencies, the City of Lincoln Public Works, the Nebraska Department of Roads, and the Lower Platte South Natural Resource District.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

• Designed and involved in the construction of approximately 100 miles of Lancaster County roads

• Designed and involved in the construction of approximately 750 pipe and box culverts

• Designed and administered the Federal Aid process on nine projects (totalling just over $14 million)

• Designed Lancaster County's only four lane curb and gutter roadway - North 84th Street from Vine Street to Cornhusker Hwy.

• Involved in the planning and design of the South and East Beltway since its beginning

• Worked with NDOR on all new Lancaster County bridges over the new six laned Interstate 80

• Represented Lancaster County in the formation of the Lincoln/Lancaster County 178 acre wetland bank

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

• Design and Construction Engineer on 100 miles of a new Chicago Northwestern Railroad coal line

• Design of Water, Sanitary Sewer, and Drainage projects in Lincoln, Waverly and Beatrice

• Design of AT&T cross country fiber optic cable projects

• Various traffic studies
